July 16, 2021 – Last June 16 was our second Virtual General Assembly for 2021. And as boring as it may sound, definitely it’s the opposite for Harem. Unlike the typical meetings that we are used to, where higher management owns the spotlight and takes the floor one way, in our Harem General Assembly, we always make sure that it’s a collaborative event that promotes productivity, engagement, and brainstorming.
In certain segments of the event, our owners and managers were able to cascade the necessary updates regarding the business – where we are versus where we would want to be as a company.
Specific. A very important objective of the gathering was to create awareness and to remind us of the goal as a team – not just as individuals but as a company.
Transparency. This was the part where everyone was given an opportunity to raise their concerns, comments, and inputs. It was an amazing avenue that led to better understanding, the addressing of concerns and queries where salary concerns were specifically highlighted, and even how the company is striving and coping with the current situation was tackled.
Recognition. No efforts were taken for granted. The performers and outstanding teams who delivered their numbers were recognized and awarded. This demonstrated empowering management where small accomplishments were noticed and appreciated to influence others to perform as well.
Indeed, congratulations to all the achievers and keep up the good work!
Fun. As expected, our engagement would not be complete without the exciting Kahoot Game that made everyone participate. This Ice Breaker has always been a sure hit!
And of course, the food was great! It was not a typical Lomi, it was a sumptuous meal which everyone enjoyed and was grateful for, no questions asked.
Uplifting. This was off all the most significant during the assembly. Harem ensured the importance of reaching out and having communication. A simple touch-base and temperature check on all employees, a connection strengthened by honest and genuine communication. Despite this very challenging pandemic, there’s a lot of reasons to move forward.
Ms. Tina shared the blessing of having shared joy and suffering to bring us closer together and also The Blessing When You Get Your First Vaccine. We were encouraged and enlightened on how getting vaccinated is important not just as an individual, but as humans. It was also very timely as well as most of us got vaccinated the same day.
And as Ms. Tab said, “We are essential. Let’s keep the momentum. We can do this together. We are Harem.”
Keep the Faith, stay safe, and get vaccinated!
